Government build contracts

Government build contracts hire players to construct public buildings - civic halls, infrastructure, event spaces - on government land. A contracted builder receives flight and special building tools inside the build site, without needing to gather or buy the materials themselves. The system went live on 2026-06-10.

How it works

1. Staff open a build contract that names the builder and the build site (a protected region).
2. Inside the site, the builder runs /buildmode to enable flight.
3. Materials are placed directly with region-limited WorldEdit commands - blocks go straight into the world, never into the builder's inventory.
4. Basic blocks (stone, dirt, glass, and similar) can also be drawn by hand with /bp for detail work.
5. When the build is finished, staff close the contract and all build-mode access is removed automatically.

Builders stay in survival mode the entire time. Flight turns off automatically when leaving the build site.

Builder commands

Command	Description
/buildmode	Toggle build flight while standing inside your contract's build site
/bp <block>	Receive a stack of a basic building block (stone, cobblestone, dirt, sand, glass, and similar)
//wand	Get the WorldEdit selection wand
//set <block>	Fill your selection with a block
//replace <from> <to>	Replace blocks within your selection
//undo	Undo your last WorldEdit action

Limits

• WorldEdit works only inside the contract's build site and only with building materials. Valuable blocks (ores, diamond, netherite, beacons), containers, TNT, and lava cannot be placed.
• The hand palette (/bp) covers only basic, low-value blocks. Everything with market value is placed via WorldEdit so it never enters an inventory.
• Job wages are not paid inside build sites. Placing or breaking blocks on a government build does not earn Jobs income - builds are paid through the contract itself.
• Build-mode access ends when the contract closes, when the builder logs out, or when staff revoke it.
