BOLT

BOLT is the chest and door locking plugin on Prosperity SMP. It automatically protects containers and doors so only the owner can access them.

Automatic locking

When you place any of the following blocks, BOLT automatically locks them to you:

• Chests and trapped chests
• Barrels
• Shulker boxes
• Doors and trapdoors
• Fence gates
• Hoppers, dispensers, droppers

No commands are needed — protection is instant on placement.

Trusting other players

To share access to your locked blocks, the other player must have joined the server at least once (so BOLT knows their account — this includes Bedrock players).

/bolt trust add player <player> — trust a player on all your locked blocks.

/bolt edit add player <player>, then click a block — trust a player on that single block only.

Tip: the command needs the add keyword. Running /bolt trust <player> without it just shows your access list and won't trust anyone.

Removing trust

/bolt trust remove player <player> — remove a player's trust from all your blocks.

Checking protection

/bolt info while looking at a block — shows who owns it and who is trusted.

Notes

• ChestShop signs work through BOLT — customers can buy and sell without chest access.
• Explosions and pistons cannot break locked blocks.
• Admins can bypass locks for grief investigation.
